TikTok is the fastest growing social media platform today! With over a billion users and over 40% of users having an annual income of over $100k, if you're asking if your customer is on TikTok, the answer is a resounding YES!

 

TikTok provides what other social platforms don't and that's creating an experience for the user driven by their likes and interests. On traditional platforms like Facebook and Instagram, users have to follow you to see your content. If you've been in business any length of time and trying to nurture your social platforms, you know it's a struggle to even get your own followers to see and engage with your content. Take our own TikTok story as an example:

 

- We posted every single day without fail on Facebook and Instagram for over three years - between the two platforms we had almost 7000 followers and not all unique as they overlapped

- We saw our engagement drastically decrease with each algorithm update that did not benefit business owners or someone trying to reach their customers

- In February of 2021 we started our TikTok account (BTW, we weren't good at it and we definitely weren't consistent!) We talked about a strategy, but we didn't really have one.

- In January of 2022 we decided to focus on TikTok and consistently post (we had 240 followers at the time)

- In March of 2022 after posting consistently, we found our secret sauce! Our followers wanted educational content! We posted our first "viral" video (viral for us, but not viral by traditional standards) and quickly saw our followers shoot up from 240 to over 7000!

- Using our strategy and consistently posting (one video per day) we published a truly viral video! It reached over 4.5 million viewers!

- By the end of March we had grown our TikTok followers to over 20k!

- We have shifted our social focus to TikTok - we get calls, messages, emails and people coming in our store every week, because they found us on TikTok!

- As of August 2022, we had 30k followers and we average about 300-400 new TikTok followers every week

- We still post on Facebook and Instagram, but our focus is TikTok and repurposing our TikToks to Reels and YouTube

- The ROI we see from TikTok has crushed anything we've ever seen on a social platform. We still share the same content we're known for, just in a more engaging way and with a much larger reach!

 

I've included our metrics for our TikTok growth for 2022. We track our social performance regularly and this is just one of the metrics we use to gauge our effectiveness.
